About me
I obtained my physiotherapy degree from the University of Melbourne (2007) and completed Master of Health Sciences (gerontology) at the La Trobe University in 2015. I was inducted as the Member of the Golden Key International Honour Society for being the top 15% of students in the master course.
I also completed my PhD from the University of Melbourne (2021) and my main research area was osteoarthritis. I was recently awarded the credential of APA titled Gerontological Physiotherapist.
I utilize a hands-on approach with rehabilitation exercises to help individuals manage their conditions and return to normal function. I also have qualifications in Pilates, acupuncture and dry needling and can integrate these methods into treatment when appropriate. I can assist with desk ergonomics and manual handling techniques.
I have been an ALA accredited lymphoedema therapist since 2023 and also hold Scar Therapy Practitioner certification with Restore Scar Therapy. I can help manage various types of swelling/lymphoedema and scar tissues.
Outside of work, I enjoy travelling with my husband and two beautiful children. I am an avid runner and a Pilates-goer.
I can consult in English, Mandarin and Malay.
